The Brian David Ash Memorial Fire Prevention Fund was created as a living memorial for Brian Ash, a 7 year old who died in a fire on October 14, 1983.

The purpose of the Brian Ash Fund is to support the Meriden Fire Department and Fire Marshall, schools and the community to make people aware of the importance of fire safety.  Our Motto is “Working Smoke Detectors Save Lives”

We supply the Meriden school children with Fire hats, we help supply new batteries when the fire department finds a house with a smoke detector that does not have one, we supply new smoke detectors when needed, we supply the schools with card games, posters, fire safety coloring papers and books.
